Frankly, it is a situation that has happened to many of us. Yet, how we handle it will make a difference between whether we live our lives smiling, or we frown for a living. If you view everything as a disaster, then inevitably, they will be disasters. But if you are prepared to see the good in all things, then you have a chance to be a happier person.

Here are some do’s and don’ts

Do:

1. Shake hands, and give a polite introduction of yourself
2. Continue with the date, be it a dinner, lunch or movie
3. Do be polite, civil and try to enjoy the evening

Dont:

1. Please do not scream, throw up or flee the scene
2. Do not hold your nose while shaking hands
3. Do not get angry with the “nice” people who set you up

Now, no matter how unique a person looks, that is only the outer shell. Sure, we do form opinions based on the first impression; which usually means how a person looks. However, that need not be the end of it. After all, there might be a humorous, fun-loving person inside. Ugliness is a matter of taste and perception. What is ugly to you is cute to another.

Dating is all about getting to know a person. Would you like to meet a great hunky guy who beats up his women for fun? Would you like to meet a gorgeous gal who throws tantrums at your family get-togethers?

Well, here are 3 surprising ways to tell if a guy likes you back, and it takes all the risk out of it.

First, it’s important to look at this from the guy’s point of view. No matter how nervous or embarrassed you may be about wanting to know if he likes you, he’s got it worse.

Why? Because he’s the one who’s supposed to stick his neck out there and possibly get shot down. So the way to find out if he likes you is to open the door a little and see if he sticks his head through.

By removing HIS risk to show you that he likes you, you’re removing your risk as well. So here’s how to do it:

1) Ask him super-easy, “Can’t blow it” questions, just to give him a chance to say something to you without having to feel awkward. Ask him a question he can easily answer, the main thing is that it’s very low level, low-stress question. Give him the chance to talk. If he takes the bait, you’re on to something.

2) Touch him in some way while talking to him. Whether it’s touching his shoulder as you’re laughing at something he said, or touching his wrist as you try to look at his watch to see what time it is (softly), touch is powerful. Give him the opportunity to touch you back.

3) Check out his “awkwardness” level. Aggressive, confident guys will tell you if they like you anyway. With the shyer ones, if they’re afraid to talk to you directly they’ll try to be funny in front of you… The more nervous they seem, or the goofier or more awkward they act, they better chance that they like you.
